About us
My father, Charles N. Belmont started working for a steam cleaning company in the mid 1950’s. Unsatisfied with the mediocre results, he set out to develop his own system. With the help of a chemist, he developed a solution that could clean without the typical soaps, bleaches, powders, foams, caustics, or other chemicals that could harm not only the carpets, but the people that lived on them. After two years of research, Unisolv was created. Not only was it 100% safe, but it left no soapy residue to attract more soil–which is still a common problem with carpet cleaners today.

After developing the solution, he created the system to use it, known as The Belmont Method.
